Weleda’s Mallow Body Lotion noticeably improves the smoothness and suppleness of the skin which is left feeling silky soft, with a sensuous sheen. It can also be used safely on the face, unlike many body lotions, and its creamy consistency means it is useful for removing makeup. Try it on dry patches on elbows and knees, on hands and nails, or for silky smooth legs after shaving or waxing. It also makes a great after sun lotion to soothe pink shoulders. This body lotion is made from the mallow plant, or Malva sylvestris, prized since Roman times for its natural medicinal properties and known for its ability to soothe rough and dry skin. The name comes from the Latin malva, meaning soft and emollient. The mallow grows wild in dry meadows and pastures in the UK and other parts of Europe, and flowers from June through to September.
